Unable to setup account and use phone App. Tried multiple times after resetting the system. Still unable to get phone to sign in to use features on phone. Too bad. Great concept. Poor execution.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Sleek, Convenient, Confusing to operate I installed this about 2 months ago. It works well, but takes a while to figure out. Aesthetics: It is pretty and would probably fit in with almost any shower / bath. We put ours in an all-marble wet room that also has a large claw foot slipper tub and it looks just fine. Features: It is pretty wonderful. We have 4 different shower head types (rain, conventional, hand-held, and body jets). We can work them individually or at the same time. I live in California and we have water restrictions. My installer set this unit to work all heads simultaneously which will not pass our inspection. I have not yet figured out how to reset it. This could potentially be a large problem. If it was not for this, all the features work quite well and are very convenient. If I had a choice I would like the steam unit to also be controlled by Moen. It takes a while to warm up and fully steam the wet room, and if we could have connected that to Moen it would have been pretty wonderful. Something for Moen to consider in the future. Ease of operation: We had trouble linking it to Alexa, then naming the shower heads properly. Once we figured all that out, it is much nicer to use. I still am having trouble consistently figuring out how to have it go to the temperature I want - when setting it from Alexa or my phone - instead of the factory preset (100 degrees). Once it is to 100, it is easy to manually turn it up to 105, but really that is my problem with the device. The directions are not clear about how to make it work the way you want. I intuitively know it can, I just can't figure out how. For example, getting Alexa to respond to it was a beast and I finally found the answer on a blog post (btw... you have to be specific with the names with Alexa once you link it. e.g, "Alexa, tell Moen to turn the Wet Room shower on". I think better instructions would remedy a lot of the problems I have had with the U by Moen. Overall: I have already recommended it to friends. Lets face it, I can turn my shower on from my bed and stay cozy until its all warmed up and ready to go. Who wouldn't love that?

Prior to purchasing, I thought that the ability to control the shower remotely would be my favorite feature. However, honestly the best part of this product is the thermostatic valve: no need to adjust the shower when hot water runs low; it does everything for you. High quality product, built very well, can’t recommend enough.

We are building a glass wall shower, and would like to have one controller inside the shower, and one outside. Is it possible to use two controllers with one digital valve?

Hello Sail and Ski. The U by Moen Shower 4-Outlet Digital Shower Controller, TS3304TB can only have one controller connected to the same valve. However, the valve can be controlled using an Apple or Android smart phone via the U by Moen app and does not have a limit to the number of smart phones that can be connected. Will I not be able to shower if the power goes out with the Moen U?

Hello and thank you for your interest in Moen products. The U by Moen shower will not work if there is no power. However, battery backup service kit 179573 is available for purchase. This battery backup will allow approximately two showers per day for three days with no Wi-Fi. The battery backup uses 6 D size batteries that are provided with the service kit.

Is this the model that will eventually support Apple's Siri?   We're building now and need to be sure what we get will eventually work with Siri as well as Alexa. Also, do we have to use Moen faucets or can any brand be used?

The Moen model #TS3304TB currently being manufactured will be compatible with Siri and HomeKit once the software is available. These will have a “Works with Apple HomeKit” sticker on the box. The controller is designed to be used with the U by Moen Shower 4-Outlet Thermostatic Digital Shower Valve, TS3304TB which can be used with any standard shower fittings. Can one of the water outlets be programmed to fill a tub? I am considering the 4 outlet - 1) handheld shower 2) wall mounted shower head 3) ceiling mounted rain shower head and 4) ceiling mounted tub filler. Would be great to control all with this device

Hello JWade and thank you for your interest in Moen products. The U by Moen TS3304TB 4-Outlet Digital Shower Controller can be used with a tub filler. The TS3304TB controller is designed to be used with the U by Moen 4-Outlet Digital Shower Valve, S3104. The S3104 valve is designed to deliver 14gpm at 45psi unrestricted total flow through all outlets and 6gpm at 45psi unrestricted flow at any one outlet. The gpm is important when determining how much time it will take to fill a given tub, as the amount of water a particular tub can hold will vary. I have an existing 10' long double shower with existing 1/2" supply outlets and two fixtures on either end, can I install a 2-port system on either end without fear of wi-fi interfering with each other?

If I use the 4 output digital valve with two outputs T'd together and only one output is activated, will this cause damage to the digital valve output not activated? I am looking at using one of the 4 output valves to fill a large tub (thus two outputs).

Can different shower heads be set to different temperatures at the same time through a preset so that two people could shower (at different shower heads) at same time with different temperatures?

You would need to install 2 separate valves in one shower to be able to get 2 different temperatures at one time.
