North Olmsted, Ohio… Moen is continuing to elevate experiences at the kitchen sink with the new Haelyn™ pulldown kitchen faucet with ColorCue™ technology. ColorCue integrates hydro-powered LED sensors on the pulldown wand to provide users with a visual indicator to see the temperature of the water coming out of the faucet before they feel it.
This new faucet gives users a sense of control as they no longer need to test the water temperature with their hand, reducing the possibility of scalding or discomfort caused by water that is too hot or too cold. The faucet’s pulldown wand seamlessly integrates with an aesthetically pleasing ribbon of LED light that is visible from all angles, and changes color based on the temperature of the water as it moves through the spout. Users now know when the temperature is just right for any kitchen task. The LED light is water powered through hydro-generator technology, so no electricity or batteries are needed.
The LED light follows a five-light sequence to help identify the temperature of the water:
- Blue – Cold water below 81°F
- Blue/Purple – Cold water warming up between 81°F and 90°F
- Purple – Warm water between 91°F and 100°F
- Purple/Red – Warm water turning hot between 101°F and 109°F
- Red – Hot water above 109°F
