The Monitor comes with a 6 ft (1.8m) leak sensing disc . This allows the monitor to detect if there is water near the sump pump area, and subsequently alert the user to its presence. This could be directly due to a sump pump failure, or due to other failures within the install area such as fixture malfunctions or foundation leaks.
