For added protection, users with the Flo Smart Water Monitor and Shutoff, and a Smart Faucet or Smart Shower can experience more advanced features, such as Winterize Mode. This setting can be manually triggered if the homeowner won’t be home during winter or extreme temperatures. The network will use the Flo Smart Water Monitor and Shutoff to shut off the water coming into the house, then purge the water line via the Smart Faucet and Smart Shower to avoid freezing pipes.
With the Flo Smart Water Monitor and Shutoff, homeowners also can now monitor water usage, by fixture type, where Moen smart water devices are located. This data also provides the ability to set conservation goals and be more mindful of resources.
For protection against ingress flooding, a sump pump is often the last line of defense against flooding. The Smart Sump Pump Monitor detects potential risks or failures and alerts homeowners through the app before the rising water overflows and causes damage. For protection around appliances, under sinks or areas of concern for leaks, the Smart Leak Detectors will let users know when water or high moisture levels are detected so they know when water is in areas where it shouldn’t be.
