North Olmsted, Ohio... Moen is pleased to welcome Troy Shay as its new President, U.S. Businesses, effective immediately. Shay brings with him rich leadership experience, having most recently served as President of Jarden Home Brands. The announcement was made by David Lingafelter, President, Moen.
In his new role, Shay will have leadership responsibility for the strategy of Moen's U.S. Business, providing the vision to stimulate and encourage innovation in sales, marketing, technical product development and business unit operations to ensure continued growth, profitability and market leadership.
"As we continue to focus our company on growth, it's essential that we bring top management talent into the organization that possess drive, energy and strong business acumen," said Lingafelter. "Troy has strong leadership abilities in each of these areas. He will be a member of our Executive Team and a critical participant in our organic and inorganic growth-related activities. He will lead the market-facing component of our U.S. Business, and will partner with Operations to deliver service, inventory, quality, cost and supply chain objectives. We look forward to learning from Troy and all he has to offer our global organization."
Shay joins Moen from Newell Brands, where he has spent the last 14 years and was most recently President of Jarden Home Brands, a division with four business units comprised of well-known brands such as Ball, Diamond, Pine Mountain and Lifoam. He had full profit and liability responsibility with a network of 14 manufacturing facilities, 16 distribution centers and over 1,200 employees.
Prior to his position with Newell, Shay held various general management, marketing and sales leadership positions within Jarden's Branded Consumables and Newell Rubbermaid's Writing Business segments. Shay began his career at General Mills, Inc. in sales management, business planning and category management before joining Nestle USA, where he was responsible for customer and trade management within the Confections and Snacks division.
Shay holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Marketing from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and an MBA from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.
