North Olmsted, Ohio... Consumers looking for modern styling and hands-free technology in a kitchen faucet now have two more options. Based on consumer demand, Moen is expanding its popular MotionSense™ technology to its STō® and Align® pulldown kitchen faucets. Now, in addition to the Arbor® and Brantford™ collections, Moen's MotionSense portfolio has the right style to meet any design need, from modern to transitional and traditional.

The new STō pulldown kitchen faucet with MotionSense offers a distinctive combination of geometric lines featuring a tubular, high-arc spout and strong, cube-shaped base. The most distinctive element of the STō suite is the innovative, integrated pulldown spray wand which neatly docks inside the spout for a more streamlined appearance. It's available in Chrome and Moen's exclusive Spot Resist™ Stainless -- the number one selling spot resistant finish -- which helps resist fingerprints and water spots to maintain a brilliant finish.

The new Align pulldown kitchen faucet with MotionSense brings a refreshed, modern look to the home. Sleek and streamlined components offer a visually harmonious design, while a pulldown spray wand delivers added functionality. Align is also available in Chrome and Spot Resist Stainless.

In addition to new styles, this new generation of MotionSense faucets feature water temperature control at faucet handle when in hands-free mode, adding yet another element of convenience to this already intuitive design. Plus, Moen has made the installation even easier, streamlining steps and reducing the overall time it takes to complete.

"We're delighted to expand our MotionSense line with new modern styles that appeal to a broader range of design preferences," said Tom Tylicki, senior wholesale kitchen product manager, Moen. "And, the improvements to our already easy MotionSense installation support Moen's commitment to creating products that are thoughtfully designed and user friendly."

Faucets with MotionSense are perfect for when your hands are too full or too dirty to turn on the faucet, while also helping reduce the spread of germs. The faucets can be controlled in three unique ways:

  • The Wave Sensor at the top of the faucet starts and stops the water flow with a simple hand movement above the faucet.
  • The Ready Sensor near the base of the faucet identifies when an object -- like a cup or the user's hand -- is placed beneath the spout. It runs water for as long as that item remains in range and automatically shuts off the flow as soon as the object is removed from the sensing zone. This is ideal for water savings, eliminating the possibility of leaving the faucet running when not in use.
  • The handle on the side of the faucet offers manual operation, letting users adjust flow and temperature even when in hands-free mode.

MotionSense faucets feature Moen's innovative Reflex® system, which offers a spray wand designed to put itself away. Additionally, Reflex provides users smooth operation, easy maneuverability and secure docking of the spray wand.

MotionSense is powered by a battery pack that utilizes six standard AA batteries or an optional AC power adapter. An LED light provides visual feedback, indicating when the faucet turns on or off; or if the faucet should run low on batteries -- typically, after approximately 12 months of use. The battery pack is housed conveniently under the sink, for easy access and quick replacement.

Moen is committed to providing durable products that enhance the lives of consumers. MotionSense faucets each offer a five-year limited warranty on electronics and a limited lifetime warranty on mechanical components.*
