According to product specialists at Creative Specialties International, a division of Moen that produces bath accessories and safety products, "The vast majority of curved shower rods don't cover the mounting hardware. If you want to add elegance, why not cover the screws and hardware with a decorative cover? That way it doesn't look so industrial."
In addition, the curved shower rod can be used with standard shower curtains and curtain rings, giving interior designers flexibility in their decor and price specifications.
Designed to be Tough
Moen's curved shower rod is engineered specifically for the hospitality market and offers the industry's only limited lifetime warranty. Made of non-corrosive stainless steel, the rod can withstand 120 lbs. of force, ensuring that it won't sag even if guests hang heavy items, such as garment bags, on it. For extra support, four slots in the mounting bracket allow for double the usual number of screws. "For little kids who like to hang on things, this will handle it," says the team at Creative Specialties International.

Appropriate for use on any hotel tub shower, the curved shower rod installs in less than 10 minutes with just a screwdriver and a level.
- Fixed model: Comes in 5- and 6-foot lengths
- Adjustable model: Expands from 54 to 72 inches, accommodates most tub enclosures, and can be installed without cutting or measuring.
Saves Time and Money
For added flexibility, the rod also features a flange that pivots 180 degrees. This helps eliminate costly and time-consuming installation problems that can plague historic properties, where walls and surfaces aren't always plumb and perfectly smooth. According to Creative Specialties International, "Our goal is to make things as hassle-free as possible for the property owner. The pivoting flange really makes installation easy."
