Rated 4 out of 5 by from Beautiful Towel Bar We purchased two of these in April of 2007 for $119.80. They have served us very well for twelve years. My opinion is they are over-designed and manufactured for a task as simple as holding a towel. For decorating reasons we want shorter towel bars at the present time, but it is difficult to discard a $120. investment which will last a lifetime.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Moen ICON towel bar Beautiful piece of hardware. I did have a problem with the mounting however. It pulled out of the wall after a week of use! Needs a better wall attachment technique. Especially in drywall. I need to disassemble the support now and need instructions on removing the large screw from the support, so I will add more later when Moen customer service responds.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ignore the Negative Reviews We selected the Moen Icon series trim kit and shower head in brushed nickel for the shower and then bought the 24" towel bar, YB5824BN in brushed nickel, two Icon single faucets, and toilet paper holder, and matching drawer knobs and handles. Have not installed the faucets, still waiting on the counter top installation. I read lots of reviews on every item in the Icon series and saw lots of negative comments regarding this Icon 24" towel bar. We wanted everything to match so I ordered every thing in Icon series. When it came I read the instructions and looked over the parts. The end pieces are nicely made and very rugged. The towel bar is curved, very stylist and matches the Icon series faucets, knobs, shower trim kit. The plastic mounting ring has a built in metal wall anchor. Only one per side (post). However, the plastic circular piece has two side holes, so you have an anchor plus two screws to hold it to the wall. No the two screws are not provided but I did add them to each post. I installed both plastic pieces to the wall and then put the towel bar in the holder and pushed it onto the plastic post and it locks in place. Be sure you are 24" center of one post to the other. The towel rod does not rattle, does not move, and has none of the issues described by other reviewers. Fit and finish was excellent. We love how it looks. The only negative is the thin towel bar. I just installed a Grohe towel bar and faucet in the guest bathroom and the Grohe towel bar is much thick and cost more too. However, we still love the look of the Moen Icon 24" towel bar and highly recommend it. Note of caution, the diameter of the base is smaller than the generic towel bar I took down so I had to do some touch up painting before installing the new Moen Icon towel bar. Don't worry about the negative reviews, I encountered none of those issues. If the towel bar was lose as several stated, they must have not mounted the post at 24" spacing for the posts. Mine is nice and tight with no movement.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Installation system is horrible The "profit" installation system is the worst ever. The mount cracks if you tighten it just a little too tight - this is because there is a gap between the mount and the wall. The mounts still spin a little even with the bite teeth and the whole thing feels flimsy. Heavy towels cause it to loosen soon after installation - overall a big FAIL. Stick to the standard mounting system that uses set screws!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Too Flimsy I would not buy this product again. The bars are small in diameter and difficult to get adjusted tightly.
