Rated 2 out of 5 by from Support is horrid. I installed this valve in January, I could not get it to connect. Sent an email to Flo support and.... no answer. Finally called and they said they were working on fixing a problem with the apple app that was preventing it from connecting. Finally that problem is fixed . Then , second issue , water temperature reads 196 degrees. Sent an email to Flo support , no response again. I unplugged the unit , tried a reset , still reads the same.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Starts great then becomes a negative experience The things that should be standard are behind a monthly paywall. I got alerts of tiny events but nothing when they detected the device defective, 225 F temps in my pipes for days? and it was under warranty. This company is shady and I suspect many devices are defective and they are choosing not to tell their customers so as not to have to replace them until warranty runs out. I had to call in.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It Works! Bought the Flo By Moen in November on sale. Finally installed it (DIY). Had to install before the pressure reducing valve because of how my water line runs. Simple install. Already during the learn mode, during Health Test it detected a small water leak. I thought: "No Way!" So I checked and thought "Oh-learning mode." Second Health Test - same notification about a leak. I checked everywhere - then went downstairs to our garage/basement/bath. We had left the shower water on in order to pressurize and use the hand wand to wash the dog. The hand wand was leaking. So-turn off the shower and presto! It works as promised.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Do not buy this! This device has great potential but the support for it is the weakest of any product I’ve owned. No one knows what they are doing with it, the app is terribly designed, support is virtually non-existent (emails go unanswered for days and then when a reply is sent they don’t answer the question asked). Hopefully things will improve but it’s been almost a year since I purchased it and I haven’t seen any improvement.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works great, but false critical alarm Great product, but a couple things I didn't care for. Within 24 hrs. of having the unit installed, the water softener re-generation triggered a critical alarm shutting the valve at 3:16 am and not having any water in the morning for a shower. Turns out that after 45 min and 50 gal.into the softener regeneration Flo shut the valve. Used the apps Live Support and they added the softener to my device list and shouldn't happen again. Live Support is a nice feature! Also, after paying over $500 for the unit with installation, now I have to pay subscription fees to use all the Apps features leaves a sour taste!!!

Over the years I have had several friends and acquaintances that had suffered major water damage to their homes due to a broken hose on washing machines, toilets or ice makers on refrigerators. The damage was extensive to hardwood flooring, drywall and furniture. Our home’s laundry room is on the second floor, causing me even greater concern about water damage, should a hose break on my washing machine. When leaving your home for extended periods the concern can be relieved simply by turning the main water valve to the “off” position. But what happens if a catastrophic event happens in the middle of the night or while you are out shopping or running errands? The answer to that question is the Flo by Moen. I am able to do a Health Check daily to make sure there are no leaks or drips in my plumbing. The app is very user friendly and the technical support is very responsive should you have any trouble syncing your Flo to your iPhone. Should there be a cause for concern, I am alerted through by Flo app and the Flo automatically turns my water off. I can also monitor the water usage of my home and the water pressure, which are very useful features. The Flo has brought me peace of mind as to possible water damage to my home and is worth it’s weight in gold!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Already solving my problems! I am two weeks post install. I bought this when I read someone else have decided that systems that require individual water leak sensors could never capture all potential problems. Once I installed it was telling me I had 140PSI water pressure and the health check kept saying their was a small leak. Turns out the pressure regulator in my house had been installed downstream of the in-house valve (and the Flo) and was leaking by due to the high city water pressure. I relocated the pressure regulator upstream of in-house valves and everything read correct - new regulator at 50 psi and no leaks on health check! I am looking foward to seeing results of the AI learn mode for individual fixtures. It has already made us more conscientious about our water useage and water is expensive here in Raleigh NC! Main reason I bought this is that the previous house owner left and the water heater in the attic flooded and ruined the house. I bought after wonderfully refurbished and new tankless heater installed. I want to make sure nothing like that every happens again! Anyway, I think the design and simplicity of the device is excellent. Im hoping Moen will continue to refine the app but it is very useful in its current form.

I just recieved my Flo model 900-006 Ser#GB030185BABO . Will my water hot water recirculation system cause any problems and has the high water the temp indication problem (in your product reviews) been resolved or is it not an issue for my serial # unit?

I have a water softener/conditioner on a well system and backwashes at 2am about every 10 to 14 days, will this set of an alarm on the Flo system?

Hello Wayne, When the device is installed it will go through a 7 day learning process. If your softener backwashes/regenerates in that period then Flo by Moen will learn its regeneration signature and account for it when setting parameters for the property. Future backwashes will not trigger an alert or shutoff. If the regeneration does not occur during the 7 day period it is possible that you will receive an alert and potential shutoff. Is the Flo suitable for use on a well pump, with the variable pressure as the pump turns on and off? What is the minimum pressure for the Flo to work properly?

Hello DC401, Yes, Flo by Moen is compatible on plumbing systems that are supplied by a well system using a pressure pump. It is recommended to install the device downstream of the pump and pressure tank for proper operation. Most water supply systems have pressures in the range of 65-80 psi or so.  Will Flo work if the supply pressure is above 100 psi?  That is what is supplied by a specific small town water supply.

However, if your home plumbing system is being supplied pressure above 80psi we recommend that you contact a local plumber about installing a pressure reducing valve to minimize the affects of wear and tear on your plumbing system and fixtures. Can you adjust and reduce pressure/flo with this device?
