Customer Experiences

Read what some of our customers have to say about their experience with Moen products, or ask a question.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LOVE LOVE LOVE!!! We purchased two of the Moen Multi Function hand shower package with included hose from the Caldwell Collection. My husband a wonderful practically perfect guy yet not a handyman was able to install both faucets. One trip to the hardware store for plumbers tape{?}, a few bits of cussing and easy peasy they were installed. Both are functioning perfectly. We have had several conversations on how wonderful they work and squeaky clean we feel!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent! Couldn't believe how easy it was to install. Love the pressure and spray options. Nice big shower head. I'm very happy with my purchase!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Works when new Since purchasing this unit in 2011 I have needed to replace the hand held part twice ( now being the second time I need one) and the fixed head once. I also needed to replace the part that is the suction as the rubbery 'diaphragm' cracked. I like the massage feature, it is the setting that has failed both times. Other than those issues it works well(when it works).

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not adjustable The only complaint I really have is that it is not adjustable. We have a very small shower in our cabin and not everyone is same height and I cannot adjust the angle in which the water hits me. For instance, if I don't want to wash my hair during shower, all I can do is pull handle off, rinse off with it turn off water, bathe with soap, pull handle off and rinse again. In other words cannot point shower down some while in holder so it doesn't hit top of my head. This is first one I've ever had unadjustable. I will be returning.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice looking shower head First, let me congratulate you on your product packaging! Easy to open and very well thought out. I just returned a Waterpik that had terrible packaging. If you need a tool to get a product out of its package then something is wrong. I purchased the brushed nickel handheld shower head and I must say that I'm glad I choose that one over the chrome one. It's nice looking and has good movements when changing spray patterns. The Caldwell model has 5 spray patterns which is all you really need. Any more than that and it's just to busy! I wish it wasn't made of plastic but unless it slips out of your hand and hits the shower walll you shouldn't have a problem. I only have Moen products in my house . The shower head that I replaced was a Moen that was 14 years old. So, you my as well get a good product as it really only ends up costing you dollars a year!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Five minute installation First, I'm not a plumber. I'm a woman who has spent 30 years working at a computer. This was my first shower head installation. Just be careful when removing the new shower head from the package. The rubber washers at the ends of the hose can easily fall out. Even though instructions were not included, it was a very simple installation. It doesn't take a brain surgeon to figure out that all you have to do is remove your old shower head and make sure the washers are in place before installing the new shower head. Installing a new water hose to an outside faucet uses the same technique, which most people can accomplish without instructions.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Poor quality control I purchased the product at Lowes. I went to install and found that only one end of the hose had a washer the other end didn't. I called Moen and was told by customer service that simply put the end with the washer next to the hand held wand and the end with a non washer next to the inlet for the water. The customer service individual told me it was designed for only one washer. I followed the instructions and it leaked profusely at the inlet. I should have known that the customer service representative didn't know what she was talking about. To take it back to Lowes and return it is a 20+ mile trip. Since I was getting nowhere with customer service, I drove to ACE Hardware (4.5 mile round trip) and purchased a washer ($1.78). Finished the installation and no leaks. I called customer Service back to register a complaint and all they had to say is that they could send me the part. I asked if they could reimburse met the cost of the washer and the supervisor told me "no". She told me that I had not given them a chance to send the replacement part. Remember, customer service told me I only needed one washer at one end. All I can say is that Moen has extremely poor quality control in its packing department. I seriously doubt that will every buy another Moen product based on this experience. Other than the above stated issue, the product seems to be working properly. In addition to extremely poor quality control, Customer service needs to have more comprehensive training as to their products. Maybe the training should include the customer service rep installing a product so they understand the process.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Installation leaks Overall a good unit but unfortunately, it leaks. Construction seems sturdy, nice looking nickel color, metal hose is flexible and not stiff, water pressure good, hot water temperature also good. However, the o-ring that sits inside the plastic cup that screws onto the shower arm pipe from the wall is not sitting on a flat surface. There is a protruding ring that gets in the way. So, it does not seal very tight. I have not been able to make this not leak. I have looked at connectors from other brands and they don't have this design problem. Eventually, I just used my old connector and it fitted fine with the Moen hose and shower head. I also called Moen. Their representive was pretty nice and sent me a whole new unit right away but seemed to admit that this is a common connector problem.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from DISAPPOINTED I have always known Moen to be a product of quality but if I had tried the product first it would have been the last time, it came with no instructions not even an exploded parts list on the outside of the box that also has NO apparent model number on it; no matter though, after searching the web site and finally found the model number and type it in to the search for direction on installation. And guess what? there is none cant even get replacement parts exploded view, First of all the whole thing is plastic except the hose but mine leaks and I'm not sure if i even have it installed correctly, I will come back and update if Moen helps me solve the issue

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great pressure, sturdy and Metal Hose Included The reason I bought a new handheld shower is because the hose for my old one was plastic and started leaking and the build up was blocking the flow of water. This product actually comes with a metal hose which is definitely more sturdy and is very flexible. Plus the little pores are rubber so I can wipe away any calcium build up now. I have been hearing about new showers having low pressure, but this is not an issue with the Moen, the pressure is great. I took a photo of what my shower looks like, and I got a little creative as I also wanted a rain shower. I bought the handheld at Lowe's and the rain shower at Home Depot and just had to buy a 3 way diverter to have it hooked up properly. My wife and I are loving this shower.

We bought a Moen handheld shower and the bracket doesn’t support the wand in the upright position. It always drops down so it’s facing the floor. Is there any way to fix this? We like the shower head otherwise.
