Rated 5 out of 5 by from Smooth functional handle I bought this as a replacement to my old shower unit

Rated 3 out of 5 by from problems When you switch from tub to shower water comes from both faucet and shower head simultaneously, unless you use only very cold or very hot settings.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Simply stylish, easy care design I like the look of the product. By description it appears that it will be easy to take care of the fixture surfaces. I haven't yet used the system. Our bathtub is still in process of getting finishing touches.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Quality of material not what I expected We bought this product: 1 because it was the style we wanted. 2 because of the name. It says brushed nickel finish, but it feels like plastic.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from looks nice Brushed nickel spot resistant finish looks nice. Have had it in place a couple of weeks. Hopefully it will last!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Second one. Will not buy a third. Will be looking for another option. Like the looks but this is the second one in 3 years that have had the mixing valve go bad. It will not shut off. For the money we paid I would have expect a little better.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice Faucet - missing parts Love the faucet, but disappointed to find plastic parts and parts/directions missing.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from On 2nd unit not happy with results. Bought 1st unit. It was sealed an banded. Opened found it missing instructions and several parts. Returned to store. 2nd unit was all there. Upon installation the shower only runs less than half of the 1/2 inch supply line at full open. Tub is fine. Called customer service. I have to wait 24 hours to talk to someone. The sad part is I had the shower down to the wall studs. Now its all sealed up. If I have to remove the whole assembly. I'll have to open up the closet side to remove it.

Do you need to apply any caulk around the tub spout where it meets the wall or around the circular metal plate where the handle is?

Asked by: Michael W
Hello Michael W and thank you for your interest in the Moen Banbury Spot Resist Brushed Nickel Posi-Temp Tub/Shower. This model includes a threaded tub spout that should butt up against the wall if installed correctly. It is a matter of preference to caulk around the spout, but if the spout is on a grout line or a wavy surface, it would be recommended to do so. The escutcheon plate includes a gasket, so again it would be a matter of preference. If you have additional questions, please feel free to call our Helpline.
