Asceri Valve Installation

1.  To disassemble the existing faucet hardware, first hold the handle with one hand and unscrew the handle skirt counterclockwise with your other hand. Unscrew the skirts for both of the handles and for the faucet spout.
2.

To install your new faucet trim kit, first apply a quarter-inch bead of plumber's putty to the bottom of the faucet escutcheons and center the escutcheons in place over the valve bodies.

Rotate each stem extension to the off position by turning the hot water handle clockwise and the cold water handle counterclockwise.

3

Install each of the new handles by positioning them over the valve bodies with handles pointing ninety degrees away from the spout. Rotate each handle skirt clockwise while holding the handle with your other hand and applying a slight downward pressure. Hand-tighten it until the handle skirt is aligned with and seated firmly against the escutcheons. Be careful not to strip the threads.

4 Apply the included grease packet to the outer o-rings of the spout tube.
5.

Then place the spout base over the spout tube and tighten it by sliding the hex wrench through the lift rod hole in the spout base and into the spout bolt. Turn the wrench clockwise.

6. Apply a quarter-inch bead of plumber's putty to the bottom of the spout escutcheons. Then place the spout escutcheon and spout skirt over the top of the spout base. Make sure the lift rod hole is in back and that the gasket is on the bottom threaded end of the spout assembly. Apply supplied grease to the outer o-ring and place the spout down onto the spout skirt.
7.

Tighten the spout assembly to the spout skirt by rotating the spout nut until it's securely fastened to the spout skirt. To fully seat the spout assembly, use pliers and the covers provided to torque down the spout nut. Be careful not to over-tighten the spout nut, or you may damage the finish.

8 Finally, install the aerator with the included aerator driver, rotating it clockwise into the discharge end of the spout until it becomes firmly seated.
9. To avoid damage to your plumbing, be sure to flush the new faucets before turning on the supply valves. Make sure the handles are in the 'On' or open position. Open the hot and cold water shut off valves and allow the water to run for fifteen seconds.
10. Turn both handles to the 'Off' position.
11. Unscrew the aerator from the end of the spout and clean the cone screen. Then replace the aerator and check the system for leaks. Your new Moen Faucet Trim Kit is now ready for normal use.
