|
|
To complete the project, you should first gather
the tools and all the parts you will need. The basic steps to complete
the installation are to prepare the mounting area, mount the faucet, connect
the supply lines, install the waste assembly, and finally test and flush
the faucet.
You should have the following tools available to you
before you start: a flashlight, an adjustable wrench, pliers, safety glasses,
a basin wrench, plumber's putty, flexible supply lines, Phillips head
screwdriver, and a flat-head screwdriver.

Be sure
mounting area is clean and dry. Orient deck gasket, then install
the deck gasket to the lav assembly, pushing the gasket around
the mounting studs until it is seated inside the bottom lip
of the escutcheon. |
 |
 |
| 2. |
Caution:
Severe bends of the supply lines may cause crimping and restricted
water flow could result. If using flexible supply lines, which
are not included with some models, thread supply line nuts onto
tailpiece adapter finger tight, then holding tailpiece adapter
with wrench, tighten nut with another wrench, rotating one-half
turn. |
 |
| 3. |
Install
clamp bars – channel facing up – spacers and mounting nuts.
Tilt clamp bar back as shown, then drop faucet with supplies
attached down through deck. On decks thicker than three-quarter
inch do not use spacer. |
 |
| 4. |
Check faucet and gasket position and tighten the mounting
nuts from below. Connect flexible supply lines to your existing
hot and cold water supply lines.
If you are not installing the waste assembly, your faucet
installation is now complete and you should the move to the
Faucet Flushing instructions below. If you are installing
a waste assembly, move to step 5.
